    Nice relaxing week

    Rating: 4.0 / 5reviews

Great location, right by the gently sloping sandy public beach, which has camels, horses, dogs and cats. The hotel has its own private beach area plus beach bar, and fire pit. Two restaurants and room service. Good facilities for yoga (three classes per day) with a great teacher, a small gym with some equipment outside (exercise with a sea view!), personal trainer options as well as one exercise and one stretch class per day. Spa with hammam, we had a couple of very good massages. Outdoor jacuzzi by the relaxation area (with big beds and hammocks), although the water wasnu2019t ever really warm enough to use it. The hotel is thoughtfully landscaped with lots of vegetation. Nice, good sized rooms with lounge/dining/kitchenette area and balcony (we went for junior suites). Kitchen includes hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and a couple of pots n pans, but really not much in the way of cooking implements, not even a sharp knife; and no washing up liquid, dish cloth or tea towel. The hotel is generally pretty clean. Thereu2019s an ATM in reception. There are a few small convenience stores right outside the hotel, selling the basics including fruit, tea, coffee, snacks and soft drinks. Thereu2019s also a small pharmacy across the road. nnSome of the waiters had perfected the art of avoiding their customersu2019 eye which was a bit annoying, and the service was in general slow with a couple of exceptions. We faced quite a bit of confusion because we were on a full board package, but kept being presented with bills that included the food. We felt there should be an easier way to manage what package each guest is on so theyu2019re presented with the right bill first time; we went through the same rigmarole with pretty much every single bill for the whole week. We didnu2019t drink that much but the mojito cocktail was a bit odd, didnu2019t seem to have much alcohol but did have cru00e8me de menthe! They ran out of Casablanca lager on day two. nnBe aware that half and full board just includes food, no drinks other than tea, coffee and juice at breakfast. Although we did have 1.5litre water bottle every day, delivered to the room. Also, there is a maximum spend per meal which we werenu2019t informed about until after weu2019d breached it. That could certainly be clearer - apparently the indoor restaurant has a special menu for those on half/full board, but we werenu2019t told that and instead were just presented with the a la carte menu. nnJust to note, there are a number of dogs and cats that have free roam of the outdoor areas. They all seemed pretty chilled out and friendly enough.nnWe enjoyed our stay. But, very disappointingly, we got food poisoning on our second evening at the indoor restaurant (fish) and were out of commission for two days.

    Great break

    Rating: 5.0 / 5reviews

I was a bit concerned when I didn't get a reply to my email about my gluten free diet. But I needn't have worried. Thanks to Aissa, one of the chefs, everyone knew I needed a gluten free diet! I had taken a gluten free Arabic translation card. Aissa took a photo and circulated it to the catering team. For the first few days, I got used to chefs calling out 'Brenda Room XX, no gluten!' nThe ladies at the omelette station made sure they had clean utensils every morning, I was given gluten free bread at every meal and in every restaurant, staff checked with me if there was any doubt about what I had chosen.nIn fact the only problem was I ate & drank far too much of the excellent food all adapted from the main menu.nIn addition, I was able to to have the relaxing week in the sun that I wanted. The weather was great, and the pool was lovely, as was the beach. I didn't try surfing or yoga, but I enjoyed a massage in the spa.nAissa, Mohammed, Aziz, Kamal and all the other staff - thank you for a wonderful holiday.nI wanted a relaxing holiday, which I got, but there's isn't a lot to do in the area, unless you want yoga or to surf, although I did take the free shuttle bus to Agadir one afternoon.nIf you wan t a relaxing break, I would recommend Paradis Plage.

    Stunning rooms, sunset sea views!!!

    Rating: 5.0 / 5reviews

After reading the review on this hotel, that appeared after we booked, I'm not going to lie, I was worried, but it's true what they say... don't believe everything you read on the Internet. nnThis hotel is great! From the minute we arrived it surpassed our expectations. The room was huge with views of the ocean and the staff were all helpful, happy and kind! Yes, it is true it is expensive to eat and drink in the hotel, nwe did this a few times, but there are other options (although you can't drink alcohol at any of the other restaurants in the area). There are restaurants both ways along the beach (very safe to walk there and back in the dark). nnWith the service and surroundings, you are going to be changed a premium for drink and food but there is a shop directly outside the hotel which is open until 11pm and from about 7am. They had loads of fresh fruit, water, softs drinks etc. We also got takeaway pizza at one of the cafes across the road, outside the hotel, one night to watch the sunset and have a few drinks on our balcony (we took 1 litre of alcohol each with us - as this is allowed into the country). nnThe breakfast is good, plenty of fruit, drinks, pastries and an omelet and pancake station (I do agree with the comments about the pancake people using their hands, not sure why they don't just use the utensils that they have infront of them, as it does seem to bother people). nnAlso we took part in the evening yoga sessions (8am - energetic, 11am not sure as didn't do it and 5:30am yin yoga- great way to spend time as the sunsets) the teacher was excellent and explained everything and I even got my husband into it - first time he's ever done it and he was really supported. The classes work out between u00a313- u00a317 each depending on the amount you buy at the beginning. nnIu00a0 can't comment on the surfing as we didn't try it but it looked like plenty of people did. nnAs for the dogs and cats, yes there are plenty, but they definitely didn't look unhealthy. They were clearly hotel regulars and didn't beg or come near you unless you wanted to fuss them. I saw children playing with them and they were well behaved and lovely animals and certainly nothing to worry about. We didn't see any wild boars!!!! nnThere are camel and horse back rides on the front beach - Ismail who sells mint tea was great, his drinks are certainly worth a try. nnOverall, we've had a great holiday and would definitely recommend.
